The 8" 1200 grit ceramic knife hone is a touch-up tool that will restore the edge on a knife 10-15 times before it needs to be brought back to the sharpening stone. This honing steel is our most compact knife honing tool and it comes with a protective case. This honer also fits in the serrations of bread knives for burr removal after sharpening. Ceramic Hone 8"
High quality 1200 grit ceramic hone in an 8" style. It's great for your travel roll and also for serrated knives. Highly recommended!

8 inch 1200 grit ceramic hone
Great product for finishing a knife to a kitchen or restaurant-grade edge. The only issue is that these seem to have gotten a bit coarser and more irregular since I got my first one.

Works great up to my 8 inch smooth edge knife, will do a 10 inch with good technique but not ideal. Puts that just-sharpened edge back between full honings.(I use the 1000 stone for full honing.) The handle is more of a protective storage case, it's a bit on the flexible side but still works well enough as a handle. I'd recommend it to a friend.
