High-Quality Aluminum Oxide Unmounted Water Stones
These unmounted aluminum oxide water stones deliver consistent sharpening with bite and clear feedback on the surface. Each sharpening stone mounts to a 1” blank with contact cement, so you can swap a worn sharpening stone and keep your knife sharpening kit running. Add splash water and keep the sharpening clean. Skip oil, since oil can load the stone. Start with a coarse grit to remove tired metal and rebuild the edge on dull knives, then step up to refine the edge on tougher steels. Because the stone is a thin layer, you get quality materials at a lower replacement cost. Pair this sharpening stone with an apex knife sharpener or other knife sharpeners, and finish with knife sharpening tools for controlled passes on knives and small tools. Choose another aluminum oxide sharpening stone for polishing, and use that sharpening stone on shop tools when you want the same clean feel.
