Use our 120 grit silicon carbide water stones for coarse sharpening and removing large amounts of metal quickly. Unmounted 120 grit sharpening stones must be mounted to a "stone blank" (sold separately) to be utilized with the Edge Pro sharpening systems. Customers who go through many coarse sharpening stones can remove their worn out stones from the existing stone blank and mount their un-mounted stones themselves saving 50% off the mounted stone price. We suggest mounting the silicon carbide sharpening stones using 3M's Super 77 adhesive spray. Try this coarse knife sharpener stone today.

    120 grit stone

I like this stone bit would prefer if there was a longer lasting one as O use these to get the burr up on chef's knives the 220 is too slow. However it wears out and I have had 3 now that crack after two uses. I finish using them rinse them off and store out of water and let dry naturally but cracks

I have easily re-mounted several of the 120 grit stones. I use the 120 grit for lowering the bevel angle by more than a degree or so, or reshaping the edge to remove nicks, low spots, re-create a point, etc.
